Early morning drive to Janki Chatti (the roadhead). Trek 6 km to Yamunotri temple on foot, pony, or doli. Take a holy dip in Surya Kund / Jamunabai Kund, offer prayers at Divya Shila and the Yamunotri temple. Trek down to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Bhagirathi River to Uttarkashi. Check into your hotel and visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple (home to the historic iron trident) in the afternoon/evening
Early morning drive through the picturesque Harsil Valley to reach Gangotri Dham. Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River and attend prayers/darshan at the Gangotri Temple. Spend some time soaking in the alpine views before driving back to Uttarkashi in the evening.
The longest road journey of the yatra. Drive through Tehri, Chamba/Srinagar, and Rudraprayag, following the Mandakini River valley up to Guptkashi/Phata. Visit the ancient Ardh Narishwar Temple if time permits. Rest early to prepare for the Kedarnath ascent.
Start at dawn (4:00 – 5:00 AM) to reach Gaurikund via Sonprayag. Begin the 16 km uphill trek via Jungle Chatti, Bheembali, and Lincholi (or board your pre-booked helicopter shuttle from Phata/Sirsi/Guptkashi). Reach Kedarnath by afternoon, check into basic GMVN tents/guest houses, and attend the evening Aarti at Kedarnath Temple.
Attend early morning Mahabhishek/darshan and view the majestic snow-capped peaks behind the temple. Trek back down to Gaurikund. Board your vehicle at Sonprayag and drive towards Guptkashi (or push further to Pipalkoti to shorten the following day’s drive)
Drive through Joshimath and Vishnuprayag to reach Badrinath. Take a bath in Tapt Kund (natural hot water spring) and take darshan of Lord Badri Vishal. In the afternoon, visit Mana Village (the last Indian village), Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, and the confluence at Keshav Prayag. Attend the evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple.
Start early morning. Drive back along the NH-7 corridor through the Panch Prayags (Vishnuprayag, Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag—the sacred confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi). Drop-off at Rishikesh or Haridwar Railway Station by late evening.
