Dayara Bugyal Trek

Arrive in Uttarkashi, a beautiful town in Uttarakhand, and drive to Barsu, a scenic village located at the base of the Dayara Bugyal trek. The drive offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and rivers. Upon reaching Barsu, enjoy the serene atmosphere and prepare for the trek. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or camp at Barsu.

The trek begins with a gradual ascent through lush oak forests and alpine meadows. After trekking for about 4-5 hours, you’ll reach Dayara Bugyal, a vast expanse of lush green meadows, which offer breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks like Bandarpoonch and Black Peak. Set up camp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in tents.

On Day 3, you’ll trek to Bakaria Top, a high point that provides panoramic views of the entire region, including peaks like Gangotri and Yamunotri ranges. After a steep ascent of around 2-3 hours, you’ll reach the top. Enjoy the views, then descend back to Dayara Bugyal for the night. Overnight stay in tents.

After breakfast, trek from Dayara Bugyal to Barnala Tal, a serene lake nestled amidst meadows. The 4-5 hour trek passes through alpine terrain with views of distant peaks and valleys. Upon reaching Barnala Tal, enjoy the tranquil environment and unwind by the lakeside. Overnight stay in tents near the lake.

On the final day of the trek, descend from Barnala Tal back to Barsu. The descent takes about 4 hours through the same beautiful forested and meadow-filled landscape. Once you reach Barsu, drive back to Uttarkashi, completing the trek with memories of the picturesque meadows and Himalayan views.
